(#12): Bausch & Lomb Optical Microscope N.Y Rochester

Description

A beautiful Cast Iron Brass Bausch & Lomb Optical Microscope (stamped Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Rochester N.Y on the side-of the stage ).  I believe this is the FFSA-Laboratory Model with Mechanical Stage.   Two young men had a vision of an institution devoted entirely to serving the optical needs of their community, the town of Rochester.  They served so faithfully and so well that the  one room business founded in 1853 by J.H. Bausch  and Henry Lomb expanded in the course of their lifetime until it became the manufacturer of America's largest and leading line of optical merchandise **Source - Bausch & Lomb Optical - Microscope and Other Scientific Instrument Book-Copyrighted 1929, Bausch & Lomb, Optical Co. The microscope has good clear optics throughout and it tilts, the eyepiece  tube is the extendable type.  It has square-mechanical stage with spring clip.  Below the stage is the condenser, a mirror and diaphragm to control the level of light.  Overall the microscope appears to be in good working condition.  All contained in a Mahogany Case-Fair condition with-handle (Back and side of the case has a visible hairline crack **backside repaired**) lock and key not working properly.   The microscope shows its age (normal signs of wear) so don't expect it to be brand new.  There is general signs of wear on the box and microscope.  Although in working order it is really being sold as decorative / collector item rather than a scientific instrument (However useful as such if you like with its limitation since it is not a new item!).  As far as I know, it has never been cleaned and/or polished.  A BEAUTIFUL SET!!!!
Accessories:  3-Eyepieces (5X, 10X-WIDE F, 20X-HYPERPLANE) all labeled B&L O.P.T CO USA, 4 beautiful silver chrome Objectives lenses (28mm 0.08-3.2x CM2383, DIVISIBLE 16mm 0.25-10x VM4273, 4mm 0.65-43x XD5126-U.S PAT 1,889,794, and OIL-1.8mm 1.25 97x VL1555)  all labeled B&L OPT.CO. Rochester N.Y USA.  All objectives lenses have no canister.  1-small immersion oil bottle-labeled B&L Optical Co. Rochester N.Y USA
Microscope Fixtures:
a - Stage: Square type / Mechanical with Spring Clip
b - Focusing: Separate coarse & fine adjustment
c - Light Source: Mirror-Adjustable (slides up/down attached to a bar).  It has some small spots and scratches but overall in good condition.
d - Substage - Condenser with variable-aperture diaphragm (swings in/out)
e - Revolving Nosepiece
f -  Base: Horseshoe Type
