If you have always dreamed of owning a patternmaker's vise but can't see spending a small fortune for an original, this may well be the answer for you!
Constructed of closely grained cast iron, this vise can be positioned in a nearly infinite number of positions for ease of use and can hold nearly any piece you need to.
It is a heavy duty Taiwanese import with a shipping weight of nearly 60lbs.
It rotates 180 degrees with the flip of a lever and reveals a pair of 2" wide carver's jaws, which stand 2 1/8" above the regular flat jaws to hold small or weirdly shaped objects above bench level.
The entire vise swings 90 degrees upward with a turn of the other lever, putting the jaws parallel to the bench top or at any angle in between.
Vise jaws are 13 3/4" wide x 5" deep and a crank on the front of the unit can adjust the alignment by up to 5 degrees left or right, making it perfect for tapered stock.
A 5 3/4" x 5" auxiliary jaw is also included that mounts to the right side of the vise and allows another 20 degrees of vertical adjustment. 4 spring loaded dogs are included.
