This is an ANTIQUE / VINTAGE 1914 Brass & Metal Bausch & Lomb Professional Microscope.  Referred to as Jug Handle Style
Serial Number:  100991.  Which dates it to 1914 according to the data shown on the last photograph.  Very much state of the art for
    the early 1900's.
Has a concave & flat mirror.  Both sides have no chips and look good.
    Fine and coarse adjustments.
    2 marked objectives
    Square stage with clips
Substage light condenser with Iris works smoothly to adjust the amount of light reaching the lens.
It shows wear and blemishes on the brass as well as wear to the black finish on the base which I show in the photos…It
would be incredibly beautiful if it was restored!
The optics and functions all seem to be good...Overall definitely NOT mint condition, but still a nice microscope.
It is engraved with EVANS DENTAL INSTITUTE and H-57
    Evans Dental Institute:
An inventive and skilled dentist, Dr. Evans is among those credited with lifting dentistry to the ranks of a true medical profession.
In 1897, a dentist and native of Philadelphia by the name of
    Thomas W. Evans
left his estate to create and maintain a dental school
that would be "not inferior to any already established."  (from Wikipedia)
Evans' generosity made possible the construction of the Evans Building (officially called the Thomas W. Evans Museum and Dental Institute)
which opened in 1915, the best-equipped
dental building in the nation at that time.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Evans was famed for his wealthy and powerful patients, including many European
heads of state, and the friendships he formed with them.
Evans Dental Institute is Located at University of Penn in Philadelphia, PA.
This microscope is very heavy and weighs 9 lbs. 2.5 ozs.  Shipping will be via FedEx Ground or Priority Mail and it will be insured.
