The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM is a low-cost standard prime lens for full-frame Canon DSLRs; when used on an APS-C sensor camera, it covers an equivalent 80mm field of view. Extremely popular because of its normal focal length, bright, wide aperture and low price, the lens is small, light, and versatile. It boasts rounded aperture blades for pleasing out-of-focus details (bokeh), and special lens coatings to reduce flare and promote clear, contrasty images. It boasts several key improvements over its predecessor, the Canon 50mm f/1.8 II, including improved build coating, rounded aperture blades, a sturdy metal lens mount, full-time manual focusing, and a narrower f/22 minimum aperture. It's a great lens for everyday photography, and especially for low-light photography without flash. It is also optimized for shooting HD video.
What you should know about this lens:
Bright aperture: Large f/1.8 aperture is great for low-light photography. Smooth, quiet AF with full-time manual focus: A gear-type STM stepping motor is useful for quiet and fast AF, and there's even a Movie Servo AF option for HD video. Full-time manual focus means you can override the AF function when the shutter is pressed halfway
Better design: The focus ring has been moved so the lens can be designed smaller. A new rugged metal lensmount replaces the less durable plastic one on the older model
Circular aperture: This lens delivers better bokeh thanks to its circular 7-blade aperture. This results in pleasing out-of-focus areas of the image and more natural-looking specular highlights.

Compact, Versatile and Easy-to-Use Speedlite
Compact and versatile, the Speedlite EL-100 can slide easily into a camera bag and add light to a dark or dim environment. Weighing approx. 6.7 oz./190g without batteries, it won't weigh down your camera. Thanks to the Speedlite EL-100's ability to rotate and pivot, it's easy to use to get a direct or indirect burst of light where you want it, without compromising your camera's position.
Horizontal and Upward Bounce Rotation Capability.
To help ensure you're able to get the light you want, wherever you need it, the Speedlite EL-100 can pivot vertically and rotate horizontally. To get some indirect light by bouncing the flash off the ceiling, you can twist the flash head upwards to a maximum of 90 Degree (i.e. straight up). To get bounce from a nearby wall, rotate the head up to 150 Degree to the left or 180 Degree to the right, letting you get a bounce even if the wall is behind you. Of course, you can also angle the Speedlite EL-100 straight ahead to bathe your subject in direct light.

Boasting power for numerous shooting situations in a compact and lightweight package, the Speedlite EL-100 has a guide number of approx. 85 ft./26m at ISO 100. Even when shooting with telephoto lenses, or if the subject moves away from the camera, the Speedlite EL-100 can provide an ample burst of light for bright and evenly illuminated compositions.
24mm Wide-angle Coverage.
The Speedlite EL-100 can cover a similar field of view as a 24mm wide-angle lens, helping to provide well-lit interiors and minimize the exposure drop-off at the edges of an image. For a tighter spread with a brighter result, this is adjustable to a narrower 50mm. This lets you finetune the strength of the flash and the coverage to suit your subject and situation.
Optical Wireless Flash Function (Sender and Receiver).
For comprehensive lighting setups on the go, the Speedlite EL-100 offers a number of options for wireless flash operation. When used with a compatible flash, or flash driver mounted on the camera, the Speedlite EL-100 can serve as either a sender or a receiver unit in an optical setup, at distances of up to 36.1 ft./11m when indoors and 26.2 ft./8m when outdoors. Additionally, remote shutter release can be achieved when the Speedlite EL-100 is used as a receiver unit with a compatible EOS digital SLR camera.
Flash Exposure Control Including Support for Stroboscopic Flash and Continuous Shooting
The Speedlite EL-100 is highly adjustable, letting you modify its performance to match your specific needs. Exposure control lets you control the flash intensity, while continuous shooting capability means there's little downtime between flash photos. For that extra creative flare, a stroboscopic mode allows for rapid and repeated firing of the flash during one long exposure of the camera. This causes, for example, a moving subject to appear in multiple places across a single image, providing fun, new photo opportunities.

Returns
For the first 30 days from date of receipt of your purchase you may return the merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges (for items which we offer free shipping, our standard shipping charges will be deducted from any refund or credit).
Returned or exchanged products must be in brand-new, mint condition. Items must be in the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging with all packaging materials, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, and the blank warranty cards. Memory cards and any other Blister Pack items are not returnable once opened. Any merchandise missing the original Universal Product Code (UPC) cannot be returned. The manufacturer's labeled packaging must be enclosed within an additional shipping carton. Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package.
Printers are not returnable once the Toner Cartridges have been installed or released.
Desktop Computers, Laptops, Tablets & Notebooks are not returnable once they have passwords or other software installed, have been registered with or returned to the manufacturer for any reason.
