Rear Spring Insulators and 21MM Bushings; 1st & 2nd Gen J-Body & Others, 8pc Set

Description

Rear suspension coil spring mounting insulators, (2) upper and (2) lower with (4) 21mm Rear Stabilizer bar bushings. The originals were discontinued years ago and are no longer available. These reproductions are very similar to the originals in appearance, other than color. They can be painted with paint designed to adhere to polyurethane. They are made of a much more durable material than the originals and will last for many years. The 45 Shore D polyurethane is extremely though and abrasion resistant. The base of the lower insulator (bumper) is thicker than the original. These may raise the rear of your car by around 1/4". The stabilizer bar (sway bar) bushings will ONLY fit cars that have a 21mm diameter sway bar. Installation of upper and lower insulators requires the disconnection of the rear dampers from the axle. It is strongly recommended that coil spring compressors are used on the springs. DO NOT allow axle to hang from brake lines! Support the axle with a jack stand or blocks to keep some slack in the brake lines.
The inside area of the Stabilizer Bar Bushings MUST be lubricated with Silicone Paste before installing. Coil Springs are not included. Photos showing the spring are for example only.
