Thank you for looking at this listing for this United States Army Medallion Belt Buckle.  The buckle is solid metal and measures  2-1/2" long by 2-1/4" wide and the medallion measures 2-1/4" in diameter. The medallion is enameled in dark and lighter green with raised brass golden eagle, lettering and stars.
The medallion embodies the Great Seal of the United States representing ideals of loyalty, vigilance, perseverance, truth, courage, zeal, fortitude, remembrance, determination, constancy, achievement, dignity, and honor. The recurring number 13 refers to the 13 original states. The arrows and olive branch together symbolize that the United States has "a strong desire for peace, but will always be ready for war."
The eagle has its head turned towards the olive branch, on its right side, to symbolize a preference for peace.
